WELCOME from Jack Sayre, Chairman of The Economic Development Commission

As Chairman of the Manchester Economic Development Commission (EDC), I am proud to say that our members represent a broad spectrum of business and community experience.  Our main mission is to assist the Board of Directors in developing economic development policies, and to attract and retain new businesses to our community.

The EDC has a unique perspective, since we know and understand both the community's aspirations for business and services and the needs of businesses and developers.  We serve as a bridge between a very competent and accomplished town administration and an elected Board of Directors that is committed to sound economic development.

Our General Manager and Director of Neighborhood Services and Economic Development are consummate professionals who understand that action and results are what matter, and they have the skills to use the tools at our disposal.

Whether we are involved in special area planning studies, reviewing economic development proposals, advising the Board on financial incentive agreements, or gathering information on our business community, we balance business and community needs.

Manchester's vibrant and diverse mix of retail, office, service, and manufacturing speaks for itself and is indicative of our continuing success.
