The
Midtown section of Manchester is anchored at its northern
end by the Town government offices at the intersection of
Route 6/44 and Route 83, Manchester Memorial Hospital at
its center, and a commercial intersection at its southern
end with the intersection of Middle Turnpike and Route 83.
A mix of office, restaurant, residential, specialty retail,
and auto-related uses characterize this area.
The
town prepared a revitalization plan for this section of
Main Street in 2001. Our goal is to help increase investment
to ensure Midtown remains a healthy and successful mixed-use
district. The town's Facade Improvement Program operates
in Midtown, and the Town recently acquired two blighted
properties and converted them for an additional parking
lot for its Lincoln Center office building, as well as parking
and an entrance-way and overlook into Center Springs Park.
